答案 Saving Plant and Animal Species is Imperative The development of human society has exerted negative influence on the earth, including the damage on various plant and animal species. Considering this situation, some people think it’s our responsibility to save them despite the time, money and efforts we should put, while others hold the view that it is unnecessary for humans to make too much efforts on saving endangered plants and animals. As for me, it’s high time we took measures to save every plant and animal species by all means, giving that it is conducive to human’s living environment. Besides, it’s unfair to hurt other living things just for human’s own benefits. First of all, saving endangered plants and animals is good for building up a more diversified ecosystem. Without any doubt, if one species dies out, other species will also be impacted. There was news that because people hunted too many antelopes in a certain region, wolfs there also died gradually. The news tells us that every species is somehow related to others and that once the balance of the ecosystem is broken, terrible things will happen. For a healthy ecosystem, we should make efforts to prevent any other species from extinction. Moreover, we have no right to make human being’s benefits superior to those of other species. The reason why some plant and animal species become endangered is exactly humans’ selfishness. Human being’s development is faster than ever before, which requires more space and resources. As a result, deforestation and improper exploitation of resources come up. Vegetation becomes sparse and animals have smaller habitats to dwell in. In other words, the extinction of some species these days is not owing to natural selection, but human interference. Humans should shoulder the responsibility to take care of the endangered species, although considering that humans already caused great damage to the nature, it is the least we can do. To draw a condusion, though we may sacrifice time and money, it is worthwhile. We should be far-sighted and act immediately to save as many plant and animal species as possible make our earth better.
